The Dell Rapid Rail slides for Dell PowerEdge servers

 do not always fit in square hole racks!  

In some racks, the Rapid-Rails will not attach 

to the rack due to narrow uprights (see photo below).  

This issue is common on the following square hole racks: 

APC NetShelter, IBM, and APEX.   

RackSolutions sells pre-modified RapidRail kits and provides 

a rail modification service to correct 

this issue.  The width of the flange on the Dell slide is 

reduced 1/8 of an inch using a mill and custom fixtures
